Understanding your responsibility

When a person is given with a position or hired at some level in any workplace, it’s expected that he will take responsibility to complete the work and help the team to move forward to achieve the required result and hit the desired targets. While working with the teams you are suppose to maintain the work ethics along with social responsibility to maintain a right relationship with the co-workers.

Every time you cannot expect your superiors to monitor your work and efforts on the daily basis or you should not expect superiors to give you instructions for each step. You need to be a solution not a problem. Nobody likes a person asking for solutions for each and every situation. You are in the team to give a solution and help to move further towards the target of achieving the result. When you start taking responsibility on your own automatically you start getting desired results, team members start respecting you as a leader.

Those who are looking to grow within a company may want to look at their approach to their work responsibility. In many instances, superiors are not only looking to see if a person does his job, but they also consider how he does job. Start taking ownership of your actions that will convert you to be responsible for the right results.

How can we stop struggling?

Every person has got different problems; it may be health, money, relationship, carrier, emotional etc. Based on the problems each one is struggling to settle the situations and wants to have control on it, so that he can live in comfort zone. Everyone is trying to find out solutions to their problems. How can we stop struggling? How can we live comfort?

Here are some points listed out to ease the situations…

1)      Instead of complaining about the situation we can start finding out the alternative solutions.

2)      One should stop thinking as routine and start working on the possibilities.

3)      Should think of anticipating the forthcoming problems.

4)      Try to explore the maximum possibilities to convert the situation into your comfort zone.

5)      Try and have the control on the situations on which you can decide and act immediately.

6)      Stop thinking on the situations which are not in your control.

7)      List out your strengths and weaknesses, and start focusing on your strengths to grow in the right direction.

8)      Try to work/build in relation with your strengths. You have got more chances of success when you work with your strengths.

9)      Be cautious /alert and see that you will not repeat any of your mistakes.

10)   Try and learn from other’s mistakes.

11)   Focus on converting all the possibilities in to your success.

Chanakya Neeti – A man attains greatness by his merits.

Chanakya Says “A man attains greatness by his merits, not simply by occupying an exalted seat. Can we call a crow an eagle (garuda) simply because he sits on the top of a tall building”.

You can achieve success only by your knowledge and your hard work; you cannot feel the success just because you got the position to be on the top. By some chance if you have reached a top position, it is really difficult task to maintain the position without having knowledge and the experience to move forward or succeed in the required direction.

When you are not able to take the right decisions at the required positions you start feeling the difficulties of the position at the same time others will start noticing that you are not the right person to be at that position or authority level. People start ignoring you for your doings and the suggestions given by you.

If you have the required experience and then you occupy the position, you will work and take decisions in confidence, and all your actions are recognized and respected by others. You start creating goodwill and a real respect for yourself and your position. Everybody will be proud to have you as a leader at that level.

The best way is to acquire the required knowledge base and then climb on to the position.

 

 

Don’t say YES when you want to say NO!!

We become Yes cultured people. Just imagine someone asks you to do something which you really don’t want to do, it might be your family member, friend, colleague, boss or somebody. But you feel like you will let the other person down if you say no. You feel GUILTY already, and you haven’t even responded yet! So you say yes.  Only because you say yes the stress is generated in you and you will not be able to do the task comfortably. You feel embarrassed for your own situation by saying yes.

Why cannot you say ‘NO’ are you afraid of saying no? Or you feel that the other person feels bad will be hurt. Just because of this feeling we say yes and get into many major issues with our own life.

Many of the business problems get generated just because of the same reason and many of the relations are spoiled just because of the same feeling. It’s better to say NO at that moment and let the person feel anything at least in the long run the damages are less.  When you feel you need to say no, be specific and explain why you are saying so. And try to make the person understand your point clear. The person may understand instantly or may understand later, but when you know you are saying the right thing tray and clear your views. This can really save you from getting into major problems and losses.
