Life is a Choice

Living life is all about your choices. When I am saying this, you will have questions like… “Many things happen automatically and I did not make a choice??” Let us look at what is actually happening.

If you start looking in detail about areas of your life, you will start noticing yourself about what I am saying. Start looking from everything from your child hood. You chose many things while you were growing up, like your clothes, the toys, the games you played, the friends you were spending time with and so on.

You chose your school, hobbies and career. The point I am making is you chose some things and you created the future from there. If you see the choices you made yesterday was creating your today. The actions were shaped by your choices.

You chose career, your business, your life partner all those were your own choices. That’s clear that all was shaped by your own choices.

Your choice is a future you are looking to create. It needs ongoing focus on the process. Once you choose and not act upon, will not create what you wanted.

Look at the time you spend in relationships and career. It has become automatic. It’s going on. You have become hopeful about the future of that and you think it will happen automatically.

The relationship with your loved ones needs to be managed, needs to be taken care off. You can not take things granted.

Same with the career. Your job / business all is created from your own choices. It needs periodic check points. You can navigate your journey.

Remember you are the driver of your life. When I say you are the driver, you have all the controls to navigate your life. Keep creating and enjoy the beauty of life. There is nothing at the end of the journey, it is all about the journey to be enjoyed till the end.

Have fun….

Having a effective Meeting

HAVING A EFFECTIVE MEETING

How can we have effective meetings in the organisation? Many times we think of something and something else happens at the meetings. Let’s look at how can we make the meetings effective.

Set the agenda

It’s really very important to set the agenda for the meeting. As that’s the key points to discuss in the meeting. Without any points you will spend more time without knowing what to discuss. Look at who are suppose to attend the meeting. What is the outcome of the meeting you are setting up?

Set start and end time

Timing for the meeting can be thought much before the meeting, based on the agenda to discuss you can clearly see how much time do you need for the meeting. Intimate the timings each member who will be attending the meeting. That will give clarity to everyone about the agenda and the timings. So that everyone can schedule their other activities.

Conclude the accomplishments of the meeting

Keep some time scheduled in the meeting for the conclusions of the meeting. That will have everyone to to get present to what’s being discussed, what new actions are scheduled and what future needs to be accomplished further.

Points to Notes

  • Keeping things simple and clear will have workability for everyone.
  • Acknowledge the team members for their accomplishments and anything pending to from each one to get present at the start of the meeting
  • Have ground rules for the participation in the meeting
  • Have a clear future to be accomplished for the organisation and also what needs to be accomplished in the meeting

What’s the fundamental quality of human being? Its actually contributing to other’s lives….Let me share you some instance on this…

One day morning you are out for a walk in the jogger’s park. Its morning around 5.45am, wheather is so nice, many people of are walking and jogging along side of you, cool wind is touching your body, birds are flying and making chirping sound, you can clearly hear the chirping sound of sparrow’s… you are enjoying the morning walk.. you are scheduled to complete and return home by half an hour as you need to get ready to go to office… One young person is walking beside you, he is listening to music and enjoying the walk… he is also in hurry…you just smiled at him and he simled at you …you are just moving …Oh !! suddenly the person beside you falls down on the road !!! withing fraction of seconds you run to him to see what happened, just like you few more people rush to him. You take some water from other person and make him drink, he is still sleeping on the road, you are shaking him and sking him what happened, no reply from him, you and others are still thinking what happened to him, you are saying others whether anyone can get a vehicle to take him to the hospital, slowly he opens his eyes..you are so happy by seeing that..you ask him again what happened, then he says what happened to him and so on.. you are happy that he is fine and you move on back to walking..

At this point what happened to your? why did you support him? you don’t even know him? What made you to rush towards him and support him? you did not even think anything before doing this, when he fell down you just rushed and did what was required..that’s being Human. That’s the natural quality of being human, that’s the fundamental quality of contributing to other’s life.

Don’t say YES when you want to say NO!!

We become Yes cultured people. Just imagine someone asks you to do something which you really don’t want to do, it might be your family member, friend, colleague, boss or somebody. But you feel like you will let the other person down if you say no. You feel GUILTY already, and you haven’t even responded yet! So you say yes.  Only because you say yes the stress is generated in you and you will not be able to do the task comfortably. You feel embarrassed for your own situation by saying yes.

Why cannot you say ‘NO’ are you afraid of saying no? Or you feel that the other person feels bad will be hurt. Just because of this feeling we say yes and get into many major issues with our own life.

Many of the business problems get generated just because of the same reason and many of the relations are spoiled just because of the same feeling. It’s better to say NO at that moment and let the person feel anything at least in the long run the damages are less.  When you feel you need to say no, be specific and explain why you are saying so. And try to make the person understand your point clear. The person may understand instantly or may understand later, but when you know you are saying the right thing tray and clear your views. This can really save you from getting into major problems and losses.

Do reply with your views which can help us to understand the readers….

Are people going away from Values?

Everyone is grown up in the guidance of parents and society, and surely no one will teach them to be greedy about the money. While growing everyone one is taught with qualities like ethics, honesty, loyalty, care for others, respect for others, values of life etc.

Why suddenly the grown up people start changing many times? Why they become self centered? Why they become greedy?

How can we make sure that the these qualities will become the major focus of our lives?

How can we practice good things, good ethics? Is it possible to simplify our life system with the right values?
